Volunteer Opportunities - Kamloops

Volunteering - Fundraising & Event Support

The Kamloops BC SPCA has events and fundraising throughout the year, from Lock In for Love, to community events and markets, we often need help with set up, take down and various positions throughout the event.

Tasks may include: contacting donors and vendors, picking up donations or dropping off flyers/posters, selling 50/50 or raffle tickets, selling SPCA merchandise, greeting guests (admission), or representing the SPCA and answering questions at information booths. 

If you are interested in helping in future events, please ensure you check off [fundraising & events support] when completing your application. When a need arises, the shelter will connect with you to see if you are interested and available to assist.

Quesnel - Community Initiatives - Food Bank - Driver & Distribution

The Quesnel BC SPCA is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the Food Bank Driver and Distribution position. 

Shift is every Thursday starting at 9:30am.

Volunteer will need to be comfortable with general maintenance of vehicles such as defrosting, warming, and adjusting mirrors. Volunteer will drive to local business for 10am to pick up donations and return them to the shelter. Once at the shelter the volunteer will then sort the donations and if time permits, deliver to eight locations. 

Applicants will need to submit a copy of a valid driver's license and a driver's abstract (free from ICBC)

We are looking for 1-2 volunteers who can help plan, prep and distribute our food supply for those served through our community outreach food bank programming. Your support will help create safe food access for pet owners in your community.
