We are now accepting applications for the following opportunities.

Only applications that fit the following criteria will be considered:

 
 

 

Animal Transport Volunteer Opportunity

  

Requirements: 

  • You can provide on-call transportation support for SIX MONTHS from now (please consider personal availability and upcoming commitments) 
  • Minimum age: 19 
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License & clear Driving Record 

 

Required availability:   

  • Weekday mornings (approx. 7am - 11am) 
  • Weekday late afternoons (approx. 4pm - 6pm) 
  • Note: Transport area can be Fraser Valley including Langley, and Vancouver BC SPCA hospital. 

 

 

 

Dog Wellness Volunteer

  • Minimum age:19
  • Experience with dogs required

Availability we need:

  • Regular, ongoing weekly availabilty for the next 6 months. Weekly commitment is a 2-hour shift. 
  • Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wed Thursday Friday and Sunday afternoons. 
  • Shift times are 9-11, 2:30-4:30

 

Mandatory Onboarding Process: 

  • In addition to mandatory online training, applicants must also attend an
  • orientation:   
  • Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 5:30 

 

 

 

Foster Care Volunteer

  • If you are interested in fostering and can support in any of the following ways, we'd love to invite you to apply! 
  • Open to caring for large dogs and have a home with a fenced yard, OR 
  • Willing to care for animals that require behavior modification(cats or dogs), OR
  • Able to care for animals needing extra support, such as medical care (may require personal protective equipment).

Join our team of like-minded individuals as a Dog Wellness Volunteer with the BC SPCA! Work in partnership with staff and volunteers to ensure dogs emotional & physical needs are met through daily walking and BC SPCA-approved training techniques.

Animal Centre - Dog Care Volunteer

This shift is only 9am-11am Monday through Sunday. Please only apply if you can volunteer a 9am - 11am shift, at least one day per week.

Join our team of like-minded individuals as a Dog Care volunteer with the BC SPCA! Work directly with staff & volunteers to ensure the dogs in our care are provided with a clean, safe, enriched environment, supporting their health & well-being.

Volunteer Opportunities

South Peace (Dawson Creek) - Animal Centre - Office Support

Join our team of like-minded individuals as an Office Support volunteer with the BC SPCA! We are seeking enthusiastic, organized task-oriented volunteers to assist with administrative duties. Your support will help us with the administrative and people sides of caring for vulnerable animals.

Tasks may include

  • Printing transfer packages.
  • Entering data.
  • Taking photos of animals and upload them to a database.
  • Enter animal writeups in the database.
  • Assist in planning and organizing social media content/posts.

Shifts

Sunday and Monday 11-12AM or 1-2PM

Kamloops Clinic - Vet Clinic Cleaning & Maintenance

Our Kamloops Clinic is recruiting volunteers to support on location, for the role of Vet Clinic Cleaning and Maintenance Volunteer. We are seeking volunteers that can fulfill this volunteer role on an ongoing, weekly basis, for at least one shift/one day per week. Please review this posting and apply if you are available to volunteer at this Kamloops Clinic, during regular business hours as outline here. 

Shifts are weekdays (closed on weekends)

AM shifts are 8:30am to 12:00pm

PM shifts are 12:30pm to 4pm.
