Please note: Only applicants who meet all of the listed criteria for each opportunity will be considered.

 

 

Supporting Cats and Small Animals Onsite:

 

  • Age: 16 years or older
  • Experience: Prior experience with cats preferred
  • Commitment required: weekly shift attendance for 6 months until May 2026 (please consider your upcoming availability and priorities)
  • Availability Needed:
    • Monday - Sunday
    • Morning shifts: 10am - 12pm
    • PM shifts: 12:30pm - 2:30pm, 3pm - 5pm
  • Shift availability will change as applicants are onboarded.  
  • Please note volunteers may be asked to support BOTH cats and small animals during shifts.

 

Onboarding process includes:

  • Mandatory online training
  • Onsite hands-on training if applicable
  • Note: Applicants will only receive invitation to orientation after successful screening and completion of online training.

 

 

Foster opportunity - animals in care at this centre

  • Age: 19 years or older
  • Animal Profiles: Cats, kittens, and a variety of small animals
  • Animals requiring behaviour support (e.g., under-socialized cats or dogs)
  • Animals with medical needs, including those recovering from surgery
  • Commitment: minimum 6-month commitment from your onboarding date
  • Please consider your availability and any upcoming personal commitments before applying
  • Completion of mandatory online training is required prior to fostering

Landscape Volunteer Lead

  • Age: 19 years or older
  • Basic understanding of landscaping and garden maintenance preferred
  • Commitment: minimum 6-month commitment from your onboarding date
  • Please consider your availability and any upcoming personal commitments before applying
  • Please note that this role does require the completion of mandatory online and onsite training.

 

 

Animal Transport Volunteer

  • Age: 19 years or older
  • Documents Required:
    • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
    • Clean driving record 
  • Commitment: Minimum 6-month commitment starting from your onboarding date
  • Please consider your personal schedule and any upcoming commitments before applying
  • Please note that this role does require the completion of mandatory online and onsite training.

Work in partnership with staff and volunteers to provide regular landscaping and care of the lawns, gardens and walkways of the animal care centre in your community. Your support will ensure the health and safety for all animals and people at the facility.
