Lampeter - Stockroom Volunteer
We are Tŷ Hafan.
We provide comfort, care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their loved ones.
Too many families in Wales are struggling through the fear, exhaustion and uncertainty that comes with caring for a child whose life will be short.

Through volunteering, you can help us to reach every family who needs us.
As a Stockroom Volunteer in our Lampeter shop, you will help us sort, price and display donated items. You will also assist with keeping the stockroom organised and tidy. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable retail experience, meet new people and support children with life-shortening conditions, and their families.
Lampeter shop is located on the High Street and used to be part of the neighbouring Black Lion pub.
The shop infamously has no shop windows, but is truly unique with its Georgian style windows.
The shop floor also retains the lounge fireplace and exposed stonework. The shop has a haberdashery section with stock created from what would have been unsaleable stock.
Alison and Julie pride themselves on Lampeter's happy and welcoming atmosphere, along with a team of friendly volunteers who are always ready to help and serve.
The shop is open 9am-4:45pm Monday-Sunday and we appreciate any time you can spare.
Our shops generate funds that directly support the whole family, from therapeutic services for children, to emotional and practical care for families, to sibling support activities & experiences.

Port Talbot - Stockroom Volunteer
We are Tŷ Hafan.
We provide comfort, care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their loved ones.
Too many families in Wales are struggling through the fear, exhaustion and uncertainty that comes with caring for a child whose life will be short.
At the moment we only have enough money and resources to support 10% of the families who need us.
Through volunteering, you can help us to reach every family who needs us.
As a Stockroom Volunteer in our Port Talbot shop, you will help us sort, price and display donated items. You will also assist with keeping the stockroom organised and tidy. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable retail experience, meet new people and support children with life-shortening conditions, and their families.
Our Port Talbot shop, located in the Aberafan Shopping Centre, is one of our two outlet-style shops.
It offers a mix of full-priced items and mainly clearance stock from our other stores, ensuring we maximise income from all donations.
Alison, Lynne, and Juliet spearhead a dedicated team of volunteers who manage a significant turnover of stock weekly.
The team relishes any opportunity to dress up and are often seen in a variety of fancy-dress costumes.
The shop is open 9am-4:45pm Monday-Sunday and we appreciate any time you can spare.
Our shops generate funds that directly support the whole family, from therapeutic services for children, to emotional and practical care for families, to sibling support activities & experiences.
