Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day by joining Boise Parks and Recreation, the Golden Eagle Audubon Society, and Idaho Fish and Game in Boise’s first City Nature Challenge.
The City Nature Challenge will take place on April 24 - 27, 2020, and will engage thousands of volunteers in communities across the globe to document plants and wildlife in their communities. In Boise, volunteers have the option of working with us to coordinate data collection events for themselves or their team anytime during the four day event, or join us on one of our data collection excursions taking place on April 25. Either way, training on data collection will be provided.
Below is a list of locations where we will be collecting data on April 24 and 25, 2020. More locations may be added depending on participation. If you would like to schedule a day/time to collect data during the four day event that is outside the time and locations being offered, please sign up using the "Schedule an Observation" link. We would be happy to work with you to find an opportunity that works for you.
Volunteers must review the City of Boise Volunteer Handbook to participate.
