Our 90 minute school programs run throughout the school year so you get the summer off too!

Garden Volunteer at Historic Stewart Farm
Attention green thumbs! A secret garden circa 1900 awaits at Historic Stewart Farm in South Surrey! As a person who appreciates organic growing and seed preservation, you will help tend the heirloom gardens which have plants that Mrs. Stewart herself could have planted.
You have an interest in getting your hands dirty and seeing what your dirty work can create!
Garden volunteers are asked to commit 6-8 hours per month during gardening season, including one monthly Saturday Garden Bee session.
If tending a unique garden in one of the most beautiful settings in Surrey is appealing to you, please fill out the application form. For more information, email heritagevolunteers@surrey.ca or call 604-502-6461.
Ambassador Volunteer at Museum of Surrey
Ambassador Volunteer at Museum of Surrey
Want to be part of something BIG? MOS Ambassadors will roam the museum galleries making visitors feel welcome and supported.
What might that look like? You might start your shift handing out maps and asking people how they heard about the museum. You might direct people to onsite demonstrations or fill them in about a cool upcoming event. Next you might answer a question about the dinosaur exhibit or do a brief survey. While you’re chatting, you will probably ask if the visitor has any suggestions about how we can make their experience even better!
Basically, MOS Ambassadors are the warm welcome to the museum. You’re available if visitors need you and are prepared to work with staff to see how we can improve the visitor experience. You enjoy conversation and smiling. IF you can speak a second language, that is fabulous. If not, that’s okay too.
We would love to see your smiling face for four hours per month and are happy to train you so you can represent the museum with confidence.
If this describes you, please fill out the application form. For more information, email heritagevolunteers@surrey.ca or call 604-502-6461.
