Museum of Surrey Ambassadors engage visitors with artefacts from the collections and lead guided tours of museum exhibits. You also help monitor the galleries, answering visitor's questions and help everyone feel welcome.

Help make the past come alive for school children, teachers and parents alike. Our Education Assistants support staff to engage elementary-age school groups in hands on activities and tours of the 1894 heritage site. No experience necessary, all training and historic costumes provided.

Education volunteers assist staff during school field trips to the museum. As someone who loves history and working with elementary aged children, they help kids learn and explore through hands-on activities and tours.

Attention green thumbs!  A secret garden circa 1900 awaits at Historic Stewart Farm in South Surrey. As a person who appreciates organic growing and seed preservation, you will help tend the heirloom gardens which have plants that Mrs. Stewart herself could have planted. Minimal experience needed, training and tools provided.

Help visitors experience life in Surrey 125 years ago through hands-on activities like churning butter, making old-fashioned ice cream and playing vintage games. Great for high school students looking for hours for graduation. Ages 14+, all training provided.

Step back in time and volunteer at Historic Stewart Farm in South Surrey.  As a person with good communication skills, you will guide brief tours of the farmhouse and share local history with members of the public. No experience necessary, all training and costumes provided.

Youth volunteers age 14-18 develop skills like communication, leadership and teamwork. Junior Docents assist staff with birthday parties, special events and other public programs.

Love textiles?  Get woven up in the amazing Textile Centre at Museum of Surrey.  Help deliver hands-on programs and give spinning and weaving demonstrations for visitors of all ages.
