Safe Families Canada|Hamilton-Halton Chapter is dedicated to keeping families safe and together by surrounding them with a caring community in times of need. Our Circle of Support model is powerful in action—volunteers, churches, and community partners each play a role, using their abilities and capacity to uplift families and help them regain stability.
This looks like practical help, emotional support, and compassionate presence. As we walk alongside parents, we strengthen the family unit, reduce stress, and build protective relationships that create long-term change. When community steps in, families can experience hope, resilience, and renewed confidence.

Mission Statement
Safe Families Canada is creating a world where children are safe, and families are together. With over 300,000 children and youth in Canada living in vulnerable families and at risk of abuse and neglect, SFC is on a mission to transform families and ensure that no family will face a crisis alone. Volunteers, known as the Circle of Support, are motivated to practice biblical hospitality, disruptive generosity and compassion fuelled by mercy. Host Families, Family Friends, Family Coaches and Resource Friends support families in crisis while they get back on their feet.
