Safe Families Canada|Ottawa-Lanark Chapter launched in May 2019, with Lanark County emerging in 2024. We are grateful for the partnerships we share with local churches—relationships that are essential as we grow beyond city limits to reach more families in need.

Imagine the ripple effect throughout our region if even one volunteer from every church chose to step into the life of a family in crisis. Together, we can stand in the gap for parents who feel overwhelmed and isolated—believing the best in them, encouraging them forward, and providing the practical and relational support they need to thrive.

Mission Statement

Safe Families Canada is creating a world where children are safe, and families are together.  With over 300,000 children and youth in Canada living in vulnerable families and at risk of abuse and neglect, SFC is on a mission to transform families and ensure that no family will face a crisis alone. Volunteers, known as the Circle of Support, are motivated to practice biblical hospitality, disruptive generosity and compassion fuelled by mercy.  Host Families, Family Friends, Family Coaches and Resource Friends support families in crisis while they get back on their feet.
