The Safe Families Canada|Okanagan BC Chapter, launched in December 2025, is part of a nationwide network committed to keeping children safe and families together through life’s hardest moments. Through partnerships with local churches, we build extended-family-style support for parents facing crisis—ensuring they have a caring community to lean on.
This may mean hosting a child for a short period, helping with rides or meals during a stressful transition, or simply being a steady presence when a parent feels overwhelmed. Each situation is different, but our heart is the same: to surround families with practical help, friendship, and Christ-like love so they can find stability, hope, and connection as they navigate their challenges.

Mission Statement
Safe Families Canada is creating a world where children are safe, and families are together. With over 300,000 children and youth in Canada living in vulnerable families and at risk of abuse and neglect, SFC is on a mission to transform families and ensure that no family will face a crisis alone. Volunteers, known as the Circle of Support, are motivated to practice biblical hospitality, disruptive generosity and compassion fuelled by mercy. Host Families, Family Friends, Family Coaches and Resource Friends support families in crisis while they get back on their feet.
