We are delighted that you are looking to join our amazing volunteering team here at Bury Care Organisation, Fairfield General Hospital. Please check which roles we are recruiting for and before you apply, please make sure you meet the below criteria:

                

 

  • You must be 18 or over for all our roles, except for Summer 60 programme, (16-20) applications open around March. 
  • You are situated within 5 miles of Fairfield General Hospital BL9 7TD

  • Able to produce 3 pieces of I.D. for validation.
  • Able to complete all training/inductions required for your role.
  • Able to commit to at least 6 months, 4 hours a week, of regular volunteering.

 

If your application progresses you to the next stage, you will be invited to either a recruitment event or interview, to get to know you, your suitability and to validate your documentation.

Rochdale Infirmary

We are delighted that you are looking to volunteer at Rochdale Care Organisation, Rochdale Infirmary.

Please take the time to browse the roles that we are currently recruiting for. 

Please be aware that we are currently only accepting applications for candidates who are 18 or over. 

We do offer opportunities for 16 to 18 year old's to volunteer in our Summer 60 Programme which will be advertised in March/April 2025

 

Please Note before applying that you fit the following criteria:

  • As the Northern Care Alliance is committed to our volunteers, we ask that you are able to pledge a minimum of 4 hours a week with the view to volunteer with us for at least 6 months.
  • Only apply to one of our organisations and in your locality. If you wish to volunteer at numerous organisations, this can be discussed at the interview stage.
  • You are situated within a 5 mile radius of the local site.
  • Ability to provide 3 forms of ID for validation at interview for DBS.
  • The ability to complete all training and induction that is required for your role. (Fully supported by the wonderful volunteering team)

About Salford

Salford Care Organisation is responsible for a range of community and primary care services across the city and at Salford Royal Hospital. It also provides specialist services to Greater Manchester and beyond. We aim to deliver safe, clean and personal care to all.Salford Royal was the first hospital in the north of England to achieve the highest rating of outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. It’s now the major trauma centre for Greater Manchester and the hub site for high-risk emergency general surgery for Salford, Bolton and Wigan. Home to the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences and the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre, we’re also a University Teaching Trust with a team dedicated to training and educating clinicians of the future. 

A new £68million extension is currently being built which will include a resuscitation area, five emergency theatres, inpatient beds and diagnostic imaging. The Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital will also have a helipad, meaning seriously ill patients will reach the site even quicker for their life-saving treatment.
