Group Support Volunteer
About the role
As a Group Support Volunteer you will be working alongside our Group Work Facilitator to help our clients engage with and participate in a variety of recovery groups and activities.
We have a range of group opportunities and would like for you to help shape the delivery of these sessions to the individuals we support.
Location and Time Commitment
- Coops Business Centre, Dorning Street, Wigan, WN1 1HR and local community spaces
- Minimum 2 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Supporting the Group Work Facilitator to deliver group sessions

Promoting the groups that are available in the service

Supporting and encourage individuals to participate in group activities

Working with the team to identify individuals who would benefit from group sessions

Raising any concerns noted within the groups to relevant staff

Signposting individuals to other services/groups

Supporting staff with the preparation and planning of new groups

Administration Support Volunteer
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and use your administrative skills to support the day-to-day work of the Administration team in our Wigan service. As part of the team you will provide a warm and friendly welcome to clients and visitors to the service to ensure a good first impression is made.

- Minimum 2 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Supporting the administrative team with their tasks, including scanning, copying and filing

Supporting the staff on Reception to help create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for clients and visitors

Supporting with the screening of phone calls to ensure they get to the correct team or most appropriate member of staff
-
Contributing to maintaining the client information displayed in the reception area is tidy, current and relevant.

Providing basic information and advice on the service offer in Wigan
