Recovery Support Volunteer
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Support Volunteer to join our Grimsby team. As a Recovery Support Volunteer you will be working alongside recovery workers to help engage and support clients making positive choices and changes in their lives.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the team and make a real difference in people’s lives, gaining experience in the substance misuse field and undertaking comprehensive training as you progress.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
-
Supporting recovery workers with planning and delivering psychosocial and motivational sessions
-
Sitting in on client sessions with a member of staff (where appropriate) to provide support & advice.

Working with the team to identify individuals who would benefit from group sessions
-
Supporting staff with the preparation and planning of new groups
-
Supporting and encouraging clients to participate in group sessions and key worker appointments

Young Persons Support Volunteer
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Young Persons Support Volunteer to join our Grimsby Team.
The main purpose of this role is to support the Young Persons recovery workers in delivering advice, information and education on illicit substances and alcohol.
In this role you will learn the practices and skills used to effectively work alongside recovery workers in their 1-1 sessions with their clients. You will have the chance to be involved with multi-disciplinary working and attend safeguarding events.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Working alongside our Young Persons team to help engage with our clients aged between 13 and 20.

Attending schools and deliver training to educate Young People on the risk and harms associated with illicit substance use and smoking.

Assisting Recovery Workers delivering psychosocial and motivational sessions with the aim of helping young people achieve their goals.

Supporting Recovery Workers when attending home visits to clients

Group Support Volunteer
About the Role
As a Group Work Support Volunteer you will be working alongside our Group Facilitators to help our clients engage with and participate in a variety of recovery groups and activities.
We have a range of group opportunities and would like for you to help shape the delivery of these sessions to the individuals we support.

Administration Volunteer
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and use your administrative skills to support the day-to-day work of the Administration team in our Grimsby service.
As part of the team you will provide a warm and friendly welcome to clients and visitors to the service to ensure a good first impression is made.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Supporting the administrative team with asks including scanning, copying and filing.

Supporting the staff on Reception to help create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for clients and visitors.

Supporting with the screening of phone calls to ensure they get to the correct team or most appropriate member of staff
-
Helping to ensure the client information displayed in the reception area is tidy, current and relevant
-
Providing basic information and advice on the service offer in Grimsby.

Sending appointment reminders to clients.
