Administration Volunteer

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and use your administrative skills to support the day-to-day work of the Administration team in our Mind and Body service. As part of the team you will provide a warm and friendly welcome to clients and visitors to the service to ensure a good first impression is made.

 

Location and Time Commitment

  • Unit H, Jubilee Way, Faversham, ME13 8GD
  • Tuesday or Friday 4-8 hours per week 

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the administrative team with their tasks, including writing and sending letters, franking post and post office drops

  • Supporting with telephone enquiries to ensure they get to the correct team or most appropriate member of staff

  • Helping to ensure that service information displayed in shared spaces is tidy, current and relevant.

  • Helping communicate reminders to active clients

  • Supporting the logging of communication updates via our secure database

  • Supporting the administrative team in minute taking for meetings

Practitioner Support Volunteer

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to volunteer alongside our Mind and Body Team to make a real difference in people’s lives and gain experience in the Mental Health Field.

As part of the team you will provide support by helping to facilitate one to one or Group Sessions helping Young People to take a holistic approach to their recovery journey.

 

Location and Time Commitment

  • Unit H, Jubilee Way, Faversham, ME13 8GD and community spaces
  • 7.5 - 22 hours per week

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Group Work

  • Supporting the Group Work Facilitator to deliver group sessions(s).

  • Participating in debriefs after groups, to share any reflections or concerns about  group discussions.  

  • Supporting staff with the preparation, planning & co-production of new groups.

1-1 Client Support and Outreach

  • Supporting Practitioners with notes taking 

  • Providing advice on support pathways

  • Supporting the safety planning provision

  • Sitting in on client sessions with a member of staff (where appropriate) to provide support & advice.

Events

  • Supporting staff in providing service information to the general public at community events.

  • Helping to plan and organise events to promote our services.
