Community Volunteer

About the role

As a Community Volunteer you will help our clients engage with and participate in a variety of recovery based  groups and activities across community spaces in Wandsworth and Richmond. Volunteers will support a member of staff to deliver group activities as well as having the opportunity to run their own groups when confident to do so and having completed all relevant training.

 

Location and Time Commitment 

  • Community spaces and service hubs located across Wandsworth and Richmond
  • Flexible hours, Monday to Friday

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To facilitate and lead on a range of recovery based groups/activities available in the community

  • To attend groups/activities/agencies with individuals initially and until they are  able to attend without support. 

  • Supporting clients to understand the range of support services available to them in the local area and helping them to connect with them
  • Helping to promote groups/activities to clients

Please note that we require you to be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for this volunteering role

 

This role is subject to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check at an Enhanced Level
