• Holistic assessments
• Information, referrals and advocacy
• Support, including a supportive and listening ear, Emergency Relief (e.g. fresh food or food parcels, vouchers or gift cards, transport and pharmacy assistance, or other forms of financial assistance) and practical support like form-filling.

We provide free, confidential information and support services to the people who live in Merri-bek.
Our volunteering roles provide critical support to community members needing help by providing information, referrals, and support services. Our volunteer roles include:
- Delivering emergency relief
- Tax help
- Delivering food parcels, and
- Administrative support

We are a registered charity dedicated to the ethos of community supporting community. We provide material aid and support services to people experiencing personal and financial difficulties in Mornington, Mt Martha, Mt Eliza and Moorooduc. We are powered by over 120 dedicated volunteers and a small team of staff.

About Us

Established in 1980 Southern Peninsula Community Support (SPCS) has grown into a trusted and vital service for the local community. SPCS provides Emergency Relief and crisis support to people in our community who are struggling with financial hardship and/or a wide range of challenges such as mental illness, family violence and homelessness. SPCS operates as a drop-in service with an open, non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
