The Outings and Excursions Program encourages older residents to participate in group outings. The outings are a fun way for people to socialise with other members of the community. Outings include lunches and morning teas at restaurants and cafes, trips to the movies and shows, visits to museums and gardens and day trips.
Each outing is hosted by a Council staff member, and a volunteer accompanies each outing to support the group to socialise. The program runs from Monday to Friday, for people aged 65 years and over, and also for people with disabilities.
