City of Frisco Municipal Volunteer Program

Natural Resources

The mission of the City of Frisco Natural Resources Division is to enhance the quality of life for current and future residents through responsible management of natural resources. Our goal is to create a community where residents can "play naturally" in our beautiful green spaces and learn about Frisco’s natural areas through educational experiences.

We hope you will join us in becoming an environmental steward in the City of Frisco! Check out some of our volunteer opportunities below and submit an application today. If you would like to set up a private volunteer activity for a group or organization, or for general volunteer questions, please contact Cory MacGillivray, Education and Outreach Supervisor, at 972-292-6540 or email him at cmacgillivray@friscotexas.gov.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Harvest Community Garden

Frisco Commons Park
8000 McKinney Road

The Harvest at Frisco Commons is a communal space managed by the City of Frisco that offers raised garden boxes for annual rental, as well as public education space for Frisco residents and volunteers. Gardeners may grow vegetables, fruits, herbs, or flowers in their leased space.

You can help us grow!
Donate your time and/or resources to help our community garden flourish. Here are some ways to help:

Donate gardening supplies. Contact the Natural Resources Division if you have healthy plants, seeds, garden tools or other items that you would like to donate.

Participate in a Volunteer Workday. Whether you are a student seeking volunteer hours or you simply enjoy gardening, help is always needed.

Organize a Special Service Project. Looking for a fun team-building activity? Perfect for teams, civic organizations and corporate groups, volunteering together is an impactful way to bring people together. To learn more about current garden needs, e-mail the Natural Resources Division.

To be notified of future workdays or to organize a special service project, submit an application.
