Volunteer Opportunities
Adult Weekday Class Assistant (School Year)
We need volunteers to help usher parents to their child's class, greet children as they get off the bus, and assist with outdoor jeep and bike ride time in the town. Our students range from kindergarten to fourth grade. Volunteers may be required to lift at least 25 lbs. when moving jeeps or bikes. Outdoor duties include putting bike helmets on children, assisting with bike selection and sizing, moving jeeps, buckling seatbelts, and serving as a 'traffic director' during ride time. Class assistants work during both morning and early afternoon class times with a lunch break in between. We are currently seeking regular volunteers for Tuesdays as well as substitute volunteers to fill in as needed.
Adult Event Volunteers at Safety Town (Saturdays)
We offer a limited number of spots for adult volunteers to assist at our Saturday open house events. Indoor responsibilities include greeting and directing visitors. Outdoor duties include assisting families/children with jeep and bike ride time. Our event dates each year fall on the first Saturday of March, June and September.
Teen Volunteers (Spring Break/Summer & Saturday Events)
Our 2025 Teen Volunteer program is now FULL. We're not currently accepting new teen applicants. For anyone interested in learning more about our teen volunteer schedule, please visit our volunteer page at FriscoFireSafetyTown.com/Volunteer. The application period for 2026 teen volunteers will start in September 2025.
