4 Voices - General Volunteer
As a General Volunteer the purpose of your role is to provide social and digital connection during your agreed “shift”, with a particular emphasis on building trust and a relaxed no-pressure environment.
Each individual will have different connection needs. Your role is not to be a technology or employment expert, but rather a helper/ supporter according to each person’s specific needs.
You will develop close working relationships with: people in need - families who are in crisis (domestic violence or homeless); those with mental health or substance addiction issues; elderly people who need digital support; and Service providers (e.g. women’s crisis accommodation, mental health and addiction clinics; aged care facilities, or community support centres).
Daily Driver

The Daily Vehicle Driver is the driver of the vehicle in the selected region and is required to have the vehicle at each shift on time throughout the day. As a member of the 4 Voices team in support of our mission, vision and values, your responsibilities are as follows:
* Regular communication with relevant 4 Voices staff member and local team via phone calls and using our designated systems;
* Driving the van from the home location to the shift location and back;
* General help with set up upon arrival at shift i.e., setting up tables etc.;
* General Help with operation of the shift i.e. making coffee, tea etc.;
* Complete a stock take at the end of the day and report to Team Leader or Service Manager;
* Monitoring power usage of solar panels throughout the day;
* Communicating updates and changes to Service Manager and Team Leaders;
* Take reasonable care for your own and others’ health and safety;
* Attend shifts as a rostered volunteer or on an ad hoc basis.
Pamper Events
We frequently run pop up pamper events for the women and girls we support, to give them a much needed boost. You can help us as a general volunteer or if you're a hairdresser, beautician or nail technician.
Team Leaders

As a team leader, the purpose of your role is to ensure the 4 Voices van goes out on shift for the day of the week that you are team leader with an enthusiastic team of volunteers (including the driver) to connect with those others who visit shifts on that day.
Each partner will have different connection needs. Your team’s role is not to be technology or employment experts, but rather helpers/ supporters according to each person’s specific needs.
Warehousing and Storage

4 Voices supports vulnerable women and girls with the many charitable donations that we receive, all of which needs to be stored, categorised, labelled and sorted in our warehouse.
IT Tech Support

We require volunteers with experience in supporting an organisation in all aspects of IT configuration, software development, maintenance and optimisation.
As a member of the 4 Voices team in support of our mission, vision and values, responsibilities are as follows:
- Help configure the technology in the inaugural 4 Voices vehicle;
- Support website development and modification;
- Help with the design and implementation of tools and training to be delivered by our volunteers to our target audience;
- Training of volunteers;
- Build innovative, interactive, and closed-loop donor tools and volunteer feedback tools;
- Develop, optimise, and maintain 4 Voices primary mobile application for van operations;
- Regularly attend 4 Voices shifts;
- Successfully develop relationships with key 4 Voices team members;
- Successfully develop and implement new IT products consistent with 4 Voices strategy;
- Assist in management and optimization of 4 Voices database for optimal performance, data management, and data usage;
- Develop and implement new or third party tools to streamline processes and procedures, with a strong emphasis on efficiency and scalability;
- Develop and implement methods to engage and support a growing volunteer network;
- Develop 4 Voices management, marketing, and display tools for 4 Voices leadership using 4 Voices data (e.g. van operations productivity dashboards, donor dashboards, real-time volunteer reporting displays, hack data displays, etc.);
- Develop innovative web-based tools to help engage our donors and sponsors;
- Create tools & applications to streamline data input into our primary database and maximise data;
- Manage and manipulate data within our database;
- Work to achieve the above within agreed budget and time constraints.

4 Voices is constantly mindful that we need to project our vision and mission to support vulnerable women and girls through targeted marketing and engagement with a variety of social media platforms.

PHONE SUPPORT

4 Voices - Phone Support Volunteer
The role of the Phone Support Volunteer is to connect, listen and support.
To connect with the partner, listen to their concerns, and support and connect the partner with a range of support services relevant to their needs.
The role of the Phone Support Volunteer within 4 Voices is not to counsel or tell the partner what to do. The Phone Support Volunteer is there to provide a safe opportunity for the person to think and speak.
Do not feel as though you need to have all the answers; the partner is in charge of their life, not you. This may be difficult for some partners to see, especially those coming from abusive or neglectful backgrounds, or when experiencing elevated distress.
This is where your connection with the partner can help them connect with the appropriate resources and stay focussed on their needs.
