General Interests

Calgary and Alberta South Accepting Applications

Thank you for your interest in applying to join our volunteer team at Canadian Blood Services (CBS). Volunteers play an important role in helping us keep our promise: to help every patient, match every need, and serve every Canadian.

Volunteers share their time and skills in providing hospitality support in both our permanent and mobile donor centres, as well as championing CBS at a variety of our in-community events. By assisting in recruiting new donors, sharing key messaging, and being a team member that ensures a positive donor experience, volunteers are invaluable ambassadors. They play a key role in the post-donation experience by providing a welcoming atmosphere in which donors are provided with needed refreshments and time to recoup before leaving the centre. All volunteers receive training and ongoing opportunities for. continued learning and connection with team members.

At this time, all employees and staff with Canadian Blood Services must show proof of vaccination.

We are also accepting short term applications for the Summer for either weekly

All applications are reviewed and applicants will be contacted depending on current openings for volunteers and organizational needs for increased volunteer support.
