Canadian Blood Services

Greet donors with a smile, engage in conversation, and accompany them throughout their donation process. Staff and donors rely on our volunteers for support and provide our donors with a positive donation experience.

 In addition to our permanent location here in St. John's, we bring our blood collection events to various communities on the Island. We currently need volunteers in Bay Roberts, Springdale, Marystown and Conception Bay South. 

Our in-community volunteers play an integral part in spreading awareness about Canadian Blood Services and our biological products.

Our Post-Secondary Club volunteers recruit donors on post-secondary campuses. ​

Our stem cell volunteers play an integral part in spreading awareness about Canadian Blood Services' stem cell registry. They promote the need for more people aged 17-35 to join the stem cell registry and host swabbing events for people to join the registry. 

Schedules vary in this role and some regions have more opportunities than others.
