Behavioral Health
The principal mission of this response team is to support and integrate into the Hennepin County Behavioral Health Strike Team to provide disaster behavioral health services, minimize the harmful psychological effects of stress and trauma on surviving individuals and families, and general behavioral health support following a public health emergency or other disaster.
Situations in which the Behavioral Health Response team may be deployed include, but are not limited to, public health emergencies natural disasters, man-made accidents, bioterrorism, pandemics, and school emergencies.
- Members of this team will have professional behavioral health experience (e.g., currently work in, or be retired from mental/behavioral health, medical, or community support service professions).
- Be a MRC volunteer in good standing.
