RESEARCH: Hazard Data Researcher
We are looking for researchers who are interested in expanding theirs and our knowledge of Emergency Management incidents and events.
The primary aim is to build a file repository by gathering and storing information about events that happened locally and globally. The end state is to acknowledge the past and use collected information to reduce impact, apply lessons learned or recommend mitigation actions to current or future disasters.
Prerequisites: FEMA IS 100, 200, 700 and 800
Recommended courses: ICS 42, & 559

- Download, copy, secure related publications, journals, websites, assessments, plans and reviews from all communities (International to local jurisdictions).
Time Commitment:
- 25 hours/year in research and send in 10-20 articles a year
- Every 2 months there is a online meeting of the Hazard Research group. Except for May and October, which are in-person meetings. Volunteers should attend at least 50% of the meetings.
