Cultural Liaison
The Cultural Liaison Response Team member seeks to integrate culturally and linguistically appropriate communication and services into every emergency response within the Public Health Department. Team members are also responsible for helping identify vulnerable populations prior and during an emergency, communicating their needs to the Department Operations Center (DOC), and provide recommendations to ensure cultural considerations are included in resource allocation and emergency response decisions.
- Members of this team will be able to speak at least one language other than English, and/or have experience working with diverse cultural communities.
- Be a MRC volunteer in good standing.
