Let's Read! - Library Reading Tutors
Hennepin County Library is looking for Reading Tutor Volunteers to help with local youth! Let's Read! is continuing to grow and as we move into 2026 sessions.
Inspire elementary students to become lifelong readers and directly help in reducing disparities. Provide one-on-one literacy tutoring with youth grades K-5. We provide an easy-to-follow curriculum that includes all the materials to teach an effective lesson. No teaching experience required. A commitment of one two-hour shift per week is standard. A criminal background check and references are required.
Participating Libraries in need of Volunteers:
- Brooklyn Park Library: Wednesdays 4pm - 6pm
- Franklin Library: Tuesdays or Thursdays 6pm-7pm, or Saturdays 1pm - 2pm or 3pm - 5pm
- North Regional Library: Mondays or Tuesdays 4pm - 6pm or 5pm-7pm
- Oxboro Library: Saturdays (beginning mid-March), 10am – Noon
- Plymouth Library: Tuesdays 4pm - 6pm or 5pm - 7pm
