Human Service Center - Visitor Support
Make a Meaningful First Impression: As a Visitor and Support Liaison, you’ll be the friendly face that greets individuals entering Hennepin County’s Human Service Centers. Whether visitors are seeking guidance, accessing resources, or simply finding their way, your presence helps create a welcoming and supportive environment.
Hours and Locations: Pick one of the below locations:
- Northwest Family Service Center 7051 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429
- North Human Service Center 1001 Plymouth Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55411
- South Human Service Center 2215 East Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN 55407
Time Commitment:
- Preferred commitment: 4 months or 16 shifts
- Minimum: One 4-hour shift per week
- One weekday shift from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In this volunteer position, key responsibilities:
- Assist visitors with checking in at self-service kiosks.
- Offer respectful guidance and help people navigate the facility.
- Engage thoughtfully to understand each visitor’s needs before directing them to services.
- Share accurate information about services available at the Northwest, North, or South Human Service Centers.
- Monitor lobby areas for well-being concerns and respond or escalate appropriately.
- Follow health, safety, and emergency protocols as trained.
