We are currently looking for volunteers for Homework Help for Fall 2025
Do you like working with kids? Hennepin County Library is looking for volunteers to work with K-12 youth after school on homework-related projects. Volunteers support students' academic success by helping them develop literacy and mathematics skills, understand homework assignments, and prepare for college. Volunteers work once a week for at least one semester. Experience with youth is helpful. Training is provided. A criminal background check and references are required. A commitment of one two-hour shift per week is standard.
Participating Libraries in need of Volunteers:
- Brooklyn Park Library: Wednesdays 5:30pm - 7:30pm or Thursdays 4pm-6pm
- Eden Prairie Library: Tuesdays or Wednesdays 5:30pm-7:30pm
- Franklin Library: Tuesdays 5:30pm-7:30pm or Thursdays 4pm - 6pm
- Hopkins: Mondays 3:30pm-5:30pm or Saturday 3pm-5pm
- North Regional Library: Mondays or Tuesdays 4pm - 6pm
- Rockford Road Library: Wednesdays or Thursdays 4:30pm-6:30pm or 5:30pm-7:30pm
