We are currently looking for volunteers for Homework Help for Spring 2025
Do you like working with kids? Hennepin County Library is looking for volunteers to work with K-12 youth after school on homework-related projects. Volunteers support students' academic success by helping them develop literacy and mathematics skills, understand homework assignments, and prepare for college. Volunteers work once a week for at least one semester. Experience with youth is helpful. Training is provided. A criminal background check and references are required. A commitment of one two-hour shift per week is standard.
Participating Libraries in need of Volunteers:
Brooklyn Park Library: Wednesdays or Thursdays, 4pm - 6pm or 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Cedar Riverside Opportunity Center: Tuesdays, 4:30pm - 6:30pm OR Thursdays, 3:30pm - 5:30pm
East Lake Library: Tuesdays 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Hosmer Library: Mondays 4pm - 6pm
North Regional Library: Mondays 4pm - 6pm, or Tuesdays 4pm - 6pm or 5pm - 7pm
