COMMUNICATIONS: COMU Team

This is a group of skilled and motivated volunteers tasked to provide logistical support, primarily in the area of interoperable communications, for the Emergency Operations Center and the accompanying Situation Monitoring Station.

This group is by invitation only.

AUXCOMM during an activation

Prerequisites:

  • At least 21 years of age at the time of acceptance into the program
  • Amateur Radio License, General Class or higher
  • FEMA  IS 100, 200, 700 and 800

Emergency Management protects communities by coordinating and integrating emergency activities across all functions, professions, and jurisdictions necessary to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural, technological and adversarial threats and hazards.
