EDUCATION: Hazard Education Team
The Hazard Education Team helps strengthen community resiliency and capability to respond to hazards by providing community education on the hazards that can impact Hennepin County. Topics include, man-made and natural hazards such as severe weather, winter weather, chemical spill.
The Hazard Education Team helps to disseminate critical emergency preparedness information to the community and also helps to establish and strengthen relationships with community members and city officials by participating in community activities.
Prerequisites:
- At least 21 years of age at the time of acceptance into the program
- FEMA IS 100, 200, 700 & 800

Emergency Management protects communities by coordinating and integrating emergency activities across all functions, professions, and jurisdictions necessary to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural, technological and adversarial threats and hazards.
