EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT: EOC Volunteers

 

These volunteers keep the Hennepin County EOC in a mission ready state by participating in drills and exercises, testing technologies and software and updating NIMS-ICS EOC position-specific task books.

Prerequisites:

  • At least 21 years of age at the time of acceptance into the program
  • FEMA IS 100, 200, 700 & 800

Skills:

  • Emergency Management
  • Emergency Response
  • Team player
  • Emergency Operations

Time Commitment:

  • 20 hours/year

Mission Statement

Emergency Management protects communities by coordinating and integrating emergency activities across all functions, professions, and jurisdictions necessary to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural, technological and adversarial threats and hazards.
