Animal/Pet Visitor Volunteer
To provide residents/tenants an opportunity to enjoy the company of an animal/pet.
Only domesticated animals are permitted in healthcare facilities.
The following are excluded:
- Reptiles and amphibians,
- All rodents including hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats and hedgehogs
- Animals that have not been litter trained or when measures cannot be taken to prevent exposure to animal excrement,
- Zoo animals, exotic animals and petting zoo animals.
