Music and Entertainment Department Volunteer
Music and Entertainment Department Volunteer

Volunteering with us is easy, flexible, and inclusive. If you can spare a few hours a week, or a couple of hours occasionally, we’d love you to join our volunteer team.
Love music, films or gaming? We’re looking for knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers to help sort, price and display our wide range of donated CDs, DVDs and games in our shop. This is an opportunity to share your love of music or film or to get a taster of a career in retail while helping us to keep flying our lifesaving missions.
Just so you know, we are unable to accept volunteers aged under 16 or anyone with unspent criminal convictions. Please note this is an unpaid voluntary position in a friendly charity shop.
Typical tasks include:
- Keeping our music and entertainment department fully stocked and organised on the sales floor and behind the scenes in our stock room
- Sorting out donations of CDs, DVDs and games, checking discs for scratches and recycling those that are damaged
- Sharing your love of music and film with customers whilst on the sales floor
- Following our guidelines to value and price donated CDs, DVDs and games
Application deadline - Ongoing
Informal chat - After you have applied, the shop manager will contact you to arrange a time to chat about volunteering, which could also include a taster session
Start date - After your chat with the manager and once on-boarding has been completed, we will work with you to agree a start date
If you’re ready to make a difference and gain new skills, click on the application form and apply today
