Volunteer Driver
As a volunteer driver, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that our veterans and seniors who may have limited mobility or access to transportation can enjoy social outings, go shopping or attend appointments. Your assistance will make a huge difference, enabling seniors to remain active and engaged in their communities.
Key responsibilities
- Drive RSL LifeCare bus to various locations, as agreed with staff
- Provide safe, reliable transportation for veterans and seniors to appointments, social events, shopping, and other important outings.
- Offer assistance if required and ensure they are comfortable during the ride. we ask that you offer a friendly presence and ensure the journey is pleasant.
- Ensue that all road and parking rules are obeyed at all time
- Follow RSL LifeCare driving policies and procedures
Personal qualities and skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to make personal connections with senior people, their families, volunteers and staff regardless of cultural backgrounds, beliefs and denominations
- Be reliable and committed
- Hold appropriate Driver Licence and a good driving record.
- Have sound knowledge of road rules
- Be familiar with the geographic region
