Volunteer Transport Drivers

Do you enjoy working with people? Do you enjoy driving and have a desire to give back to your community? Then we have the volunteer role for you! 

See Differently with the Royal Society for the Blind is a not-for-profit organisation and has a rich history of providing outstanding quality care and services to Australians who have a severe vision impairment. These services are delivered by a professional, committed and highly qualified team supported by volunteers, drawn from all age groups and walks of life.

Transport drivers provide accompanied transport for blind and vision impaired people to and from medical and allied health appointments, as well as social support programs conducted by See Differently. Our volunteers are positive and professional an enjoy meeting new people and making a difference in peoples' lives. Volunteers are sought from the north, north west and north east areas of Adelaide.

Requirements:

  • DHS Aged Care clearance, no cost to the volunteer
  • NDIS clearance, no cost to the volunteer
  • See Differently requires staff and volunteers to adhere to the organisation's COVID vaccination policy.
  • A class C licence
  • comprehensively insured vehicle is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Full training will be provided including 'Sighted Guide' training. 

Days and times: Monday to Friday, negotiable

Centrelink requirements can be met.
