Bingo Support - various locations
The bingo support volunteer will collaborate with the Leisure and Lifestyle Team to assist in the delivery of bingo which is designed to maintain and enhance the physical, emotional and social-wellbeing of residents based on their individual needs, interests and cultural backgrounds.
Locations: Salisbury North, Seaton. Semaphore Park, Grange, West Lakes
Days & Times: Monday. to Saturday (negotiable) - 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Centrelink requirements can be met
Duties:
- Assist in the set up/pack up and preparation of bingo under the direction of the leisure and lifestyle team
- Assist and encourage residents to attend
- Provide appropriate support and guidance to residents during bingo to support them to participate to their full potential
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in relations to the residents at all times
- Communicate respectfully at all times with residents, visitors, staff and other volunteers at all times
- Establish rapport and maintain positive relationships with residents
Requirements:
Essential
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience performing to older people and their individual needs
- A knowledge and understanding of dementia
Other Requirements:
- National Police Check
- NDIS Clearance
- Covid-19 vaccinations
