Technology Assistant
The Volunteer Technology Assistant is responsible for providing computer and technology assistance to Beyond Blindness members in their homes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To assist and support Members undertaking BB computer activities.
- Provide one on one basic computer literacy for the members seeking assistance.
- Teach the members with procedures such as using email, researching on the internet.
- Teach and assist the members how to use smartphones.
- Assist other Volunteers involved in assisting with the program.
- Report to Operations Coordinator of any program or related Member issues.
- Adhere to all relevant Work, Health and Safety requirements.
- Adhere to the Policy regarding appropriate usage of the Internet and emails and complete the booking system relevant to the Marney Pearce Technology Lounge.
- Exercise a duty of care in relation to Beyond Blindness members.

- An understanding of the Work, Health & Safety Act
