Technology Assistant

The Volunteer Technology Assistant is responsible for providing computer and technology assistance to Beyond Blindness members in their homes.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To assist and support Members undertaking BB computer activities.
  • Provide one on one basic computer literacy for the members seeking assistance.
  • Teach the members with procedures such as using email, researching on the internet.
  • Teach and assist the members how to use smartphones.
  • Assist other Volunteers involved in assisting with the program.
  • Report to Operations Coordinator of any program or related Member issues.
  • Adhere to all relevant Work, Health and Safety requirements.
  • Adhere to the Policy regarding appropriate usage of the Internet and emails and complete the booking system relevant to the Marney Pearce Technology Lounge.
  • Exercise a duty of care in relation to Beyond Blindness members.
