Aircraft restoration and general duties
Hanger 107 Parafield Airport
Volunteers are required to work on aircraft restoration at Parafield Airport.
Reactivate your trade skills OR develop new skills by volunteering at the Classic Jets Fighter Museum. You will be involved in the restoration of our exciting new project, a Pacific War P39 Airacobra fighter aircraft.
Requirements:
- Good general hand skills
- Must be a team player
- Neat, tidy appearance
- Some interest in military aircraft
- Must be reasonably fit, no stress injuries
Training will be provided
Focusing on smaller components, tasks might include:
- dismantling wreckage
- de-rivetting frame
- reproducing sheetmetal
- drilling
- counter sinking
- rivetting
- re-assembling
Days are fixed at Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 10:00 am to 3:30 pm
Centrelink obligations can be met but must be across the three days.
Must be vaccinated against Covid
