Driver/Buddy Volunteers - Home Assist Program

The Home Assist program is seeking volunteers to support seniors by offering transport to outings. In pairs volunteers share the driver and buddy roles to transport seniors in a round trip – from their home, to their destination and return home. Drivers must have good communication skills and a current driver’s license. Applicants must be willing to undertake a driver competency and a medical assessment (both paid for by council). This role also requires volunteers to have current First Aid certification - training is provided and the cost covered by council. Vehicle supplied. Role available Monday’s to Thursday’s, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Please Note:
Recently the state government directed that TGA approved COVID19 vaccinations are mandatory for volunteers in certain programs where people are in contact with seniors and/or people with disability. For this role you will be required to provide proof of both vaccinations and booster.
