Events Officer
North East Community House Inc. is seeking individuals who can use their creativity, fun loving attitude, organisational skills, and their ability to connect with others to plan and deliver an awesome array of community engagement events from International Women's Day to Ramadan to promote inclusiveness and togetherness.
You will be responsible for every detail of our comprehensive list of events from planning and implementation, maintaining strict low cost budgets, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and community leaders and decorating event spaces/centre. You will provide regular reports/updates to centre management and work as part of a team.
Days are negotiable. Hours range from 5 to 15 hours per week. Centrelink requirements can be met.
Help us to increase awareness of cultures, disabilities, and social injustices, celebrate dates of cultural significance, promote inclusiveness and decrease social isolation.
Experience in events is an advantage but not essential.
Ability to lift/move heavy equipment such as tables and chairs, small gazebos etc. is desired but those living with a physical impairment are encouraged to apply.
Free car parking is available and public transport is close by.
