Social Media Coordinator

Volunteer required first Sunday of each month.

In your role as the Communications and Social Media Coordinator at WCMC you will:

  • Create and edit social media posts and content
  • Moderate social media platforms
  • Develop social media strategy to increase presence and reach
  • Develop relationships with our member organisations to create short videos for social media to highlight their work
  • Create content for our website
  • Produce newsletters as required

Skills and experience

  • Good understanding of Meta social media platforms
  • Experience using Canva or similar applications
  • Experience and/or ability to create visual content and to produce and edit short videos
  • Understanding and/or experience with social media strategies
  • Knowledge and/or experience with WordPress
  • Knowledge and/or experience producing newsletters
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Able to engage with those from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written including the ability to write engaging content, including the use of correct grammar and expression
