Volunteer Exercise Instructor

North East Community House Inc. is seeking a dynamic, professional, skilled and caring invididual to make a real impact in improving the physical fitness of our senior community members.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a weekly chair based/low impact exercise program at a local community centre. Participants are currently over 55 years of age, however the program is open to all persons aged over 16. Our program has a long history and has been in operation for over 10 years. Our current instructor is stepping down from the role which is why we are seeking to appoint another person. The successful applicant must have qualifications in personal training/physical education/health.

Day and time:  Monday - 12 noon to 1:00 pm

This program has a real impact on the lives of its participants. Studies have shown how important it is to maintain health and wellbeing in the aged. You have the opportunity to make an impact and change someone's life for the better. Classes are held on a Monday from 12pm until 1pm. A role description will be sent after expressions of interest have been received.

Requirements:

  • Experience in conducting exercise programs (one-on-one or groups) is required.
  • Working with Children Check / and or a vulnerable person check

Free car parking is available and public transport is close by.
