Social Support Volunteer
Nb - proof of flu vaccination is required for all volunteers
Volunteers must be up to date with COVID vaccinations, ie double vaccinated plus booster
10 volunteers required to assist residents with conversation and other activities of interest on a 1:1 basis
Days: Monday to Friday (negotiable) - 9:30 am to 3:00 pm
Duties:
• Provide social and emotional support to nominated residents
• Assist residents to participate and attend group and/ or individual sessions
• Comfortable interacting with residents - great listening and conversation skills
Additional Requirements:
• Must be prepared to undertake mandatory training as required including wheelchair training (no lift policy)
• Adhere to WHS requirements, Helping Hand procedure & policies
• Must have or be willing to apply for a National Police Clearance (no cost)
