Men's Group Volunteer
Are you a man with a heart full of compassion and a zest for bringing smiles to the faces of others? Our care home in Mawson Lakes is looking for an enthusiastic male volunteer to assist in the delivery of the Men’s Group and add joy to the golden years.
Our Men’s Group is a place to get together, have a chat, a laugh, a beer and a BBQ.
Volunteers must have good communication skills, be able to have a chat, and be friendly and reliable.
Hours: Once per month or once per fortnight, day and time negotiable depending on availability.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents to get to the Men’s Group
- Cooking the BBQ
- Chatting with the men and developing friendships
- Assisting the residents to participate
- Have a laugh and have some fun
Additional Requirements:
- Must be prepared to undertake mandatory induction and training
- Must have or be willing to apply for a NDIS Worker Check (free of charge)
- Adhere to OH&S requirements and Helping Hand policies and procedures
