Lifestyle Activities Assistant
Helping Hand Aged Care, Lightview, is currently seeking an enthusiastic ‘Activity Assistant(s)’ to help with the Lifestyles program.
Volunteers are to help provide support services to residential clients with the aim to enhance their quality of life.
Volunteers must be punctual and reliable, have a friendly positive attitude towards other team members & must enjoy working with the elderly, frail and cognitive impaired.
Activities are held in small and larger group sessions with an emphasis on supporting individuals.
HOURS: Currently this role is available Monday to Friday 9.30 am – 3.30 pm (Days/Time negotiable).
Responsibilities, duties & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

Must be able to maintain privacy and confidentiality

Assist in preparation, set up for & participate in various activities

When required collecting residents to attend functions

Check equipment, supply needs & ensure materials are ready for the activities

Participate/assist with lifestyle activities – e.g. walking groups, art, craft, bingo, board games, group social functions, entertainment/musical performances and Movies

Carry out duties as required and be able to work alongside others
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be prepared to undertake mandatory training as required

Adhere to OH&S requirements, Helping Hand procedure & policies

Must have or be willing to apply for a National Police Clearance

Volunteers must be up to date with COVID vaccinations, ie double vaccinated plus booster
