Community Cafe Kitchen Hand
Do you love cooking, we are currently looking for a volunteer for the role of kitchen hand in our Community Cafe Connections to assist in general food preparation and serving customers. Safe Food Handling certificate will be required which can be undertaken on site.
Volunteers must have a friendly, positive attitude towards other team members and good customer service skills.
Shift/Shifts currently available Day/Hours: Mondays - 09.45am to 2.15pm
RESPONSIBILITIES/Duties & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
§ - Ensure cleanliness, hygiene of the kitchen area.
- Food preparation
- Servicing customers, taking orders, cash handling
- Keeping the kitchen clean.
- Loading the dishwasher.
- Emptying waste baskets/bins.
- Wiping down hand basins/bench tops.
- Prepare and serve food in accordance with food handling safety regulations
- Assist Cafe Kitchen Duty Officer in food preparation
- Customer service - Cash handling
- Physically able to complete the tasks required
- Must have good personal presentation & hygiene
- Ability & willingness to follow directions and work as a team
- Enjoy customer service and meeting people.
ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS.
§ Undergo a DHS check (at no cost to you as a volunteer).
- Already have or willing to obtain Safe Food Handling Certificate, can be completed on-line at no cost.
§ Abide by all, policies, procedures & WHS requirements.
