Handy Person

The Handy Person is responsible for carrying out minor repairs in Beyond Blindness member homes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the members following the instructions given to you
- To assist and support Clients in identified and agreed activities around their homes
- Perform small maintenance jobs around the home of the clients. Small jobs may include replacing bulbs, changing smoke detector batteries, tap washers etc
- Report to the Operations Coordinator any problems or related client issues.
- Be responsible for assessing the requirements of the task, purchasing materials required and returning to member’s home carry out the repair, the member will reimburse for any materials which must be quoted and agreed to prior to work being undertaken.
- Adhere to all relevant Work, Health & Safety requirements.
