Drivers

Volunteers who enjoy being ‘out on the road’ assist residents to ensure they maintain independence and social connections.

Your role: Following a detailed schedule put together by our friendly staff Dennis (Home Assist- HA) or Anne (Community Passenger Network - CPN) you will pick up a Council vehicle and head out for most of the day. HA drivers are accompanied by an assistant and together you will pick up & drop off  clients to various local programs and/or CPN you will work one-on one driving clients to various appointments both local and city bound.

PLEASE NOTE: Transport volunteers are required to provide proof of Covid 19 vaccination primary and booster dose.

Ideal position to meet Centrelink requirements however requires at least a 7 hour shift commitment per week due to the training and process involved.  Thursday evening/Sat shifts will be credited for additional hours.
