Op Shop - Retail Assistant
The Gawler Community House relies on the Op Shop for much needed income to support its operations. Op Shop volunteers operate under the direction of the Manager/Volunteer Coordinator.
General Duties:
- Open the shop and set up according to the procedure
- Customer Service
- Retail Sales
- Operate Cash Register, Eftpos transactions, Cash Handling
- Display clothing and other goods
- Assist with dressing room protocols
- Greet customers in a friendly manner and assist them with their requirements
- Promote activities and events of the Community House
Other Duties:
- Attend meetings as required
- Attend relevant training as required
Essential Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communications, customer service skills
- Cash handling skills
- Honesty and trustworthiness
- Able to follow instructions
- Work unsupervised or as part of a team
- A pleasant non-judgmental and empathetic manner
- Ability to interact appropriately with a diverse range of clients
- Flexible and quick thinking - able to prioritise tasks
- Appropriate dress, language and behaviour.
Shifts Currently Available:
Mondays 8.45am - 4.15pm - Thursdays - 8.45am - 4.15pm - Saturdays - 09.45am - 1.15pm
